Chynna-Blu Nagle, originally of Milroy but most recently of Enola, was found "on controlled substances and was attempting to care for her 3-week-old child," at 7:37 a.m. on Feb. 15, as stated in the police release.

Officers had been called to a "medical incident" in the 200 block of South Enola Drive, Enola. Arriving officers soon "determined the 3-week-old child was injured during the incident," police said.

Nagle was charged with felony endangering the welfare of children when a parent or guardian commits an offense, and misdemeanor simple assault, according to her latest court docket.

She has a criminal record in Mifflin, Juniata, Dauphin, Lebanon, and Cumberland counties all within the last decade, court records show. She has been convicted or pleaded guilty to drug-related offenses, driving with a suspended license, theft, and disorderly conduct, as detailed in her court records.

She remains in the Cumberland County Prison on bail of $2,500 as set by Magisterial District Judge Michael Sanderson during her preliminary arraignment, on the same day as her arrest at 11:35 a.m.

Her preliminary hearing is set before Judge Sanderson at 1 p.m. on Feb. 28.

The medical status of the infant was unavailable.
